OUR

MINISTRIES

Jesus declared that his church would do greater works than he... what exactly did he mean?  Who can top feeding five thousand men, not counting women and children?  Who can do greater than raising Lazarus from the grave?  So what exactly was Jesus saying?  As his body, we would be able to qualitatively do more and impact the world through him and with him through ministry.  ZT is committed to doing greater works through various ministries.  In addition to ministries listed here, certain ministries are highlighted for expanded descriptions.

Our ministries include: Deacons, Trustees, Mothers, Deacons & Minister's Wives, WMU, Laymen, iReach, Ushers, Health Unit and Nurses, Pastor's Aid, Hospitality and the Intake ministry.  All of our ministries are vital and no ministry is better than the other.  As Paul described in I Corinthians 12, members of the body provide different levels of support to the church and community.

Christian Education

Christian education is perhaps the most vital ministry a church can offer believers.  A learning church is a growing church.  A growing church is a mobilizing church.  A mobilizing church lifts the name of Jesus and he consequently draws according to his will (John 12:32). In addition to Sunday School and bible study, other courses are offered such as courses for singles, biblical studies and opportunities to learn through off-sight cell groups through iReach.  To inquire further about Christian Education contact our Christian Education Pastor at:

Food Pantry

Imagine the horror of those whom Jesus addressed in Matthew 25 who neglected to feed and care for those with  whom Jesus identified, thus neglecting him.  ZT wants to be in the group of those on Jesus right side to were used to bless those in need.

Brother Melvin Anderson leads our effort to serve the community by providing food, clothing and shelter. The Food Pantry ministry is a USDA approved pantry and has serve over thousands in 2017 alone for the sake of the kingdom.

  • Food pantry serves the need of the community by providing food and clothing to the community on a weekly basis.

For more information on our food pantry, send us an email from our message center at the bottom of the page..

Youth Ministry

Times have changed... challenges have increased and the world in which our youth are facing provides no easy paths.  ZT is constantly working to create the framework and mix that will challenge our youth to authentically seek the Lord and to love  his Word.  Activities and outings are planned for youth enjoyment.  Studies and opportunities to exercise their talents are available to promote their spiritual and natural growth.  Two thousand eighteen will be a year of revitalization and creativity to provide our youth with diverse and relevant offerings for learning, spiritual, and emotional maturation.  For further questions about our youth ministry feel free to reach out to our Youth Pastor at :

Prayer Ministry

Scripture admonishes the believer to pray without ceasing (I Thess. 5:17).  ZT knows without prayer, we are without power... but with prayer and faith, we have the Lord's power.  Through the auspices of our prayer ministry, our Pastor and church are sustained through the intercessory efforts of this ministry.  Members are challenged to reach out to this group of saints with specific request that they take before the Lord. Use our message center below to share prayer your request.

Music Ministry

Christian music has taken a serious blow.  Sound trumps substance, stage production trumps solemn praise and people clearly trump the Person of Christ. So many music ministries have become talent shows for gospel music's top forty.  Our music ministry, on the other hand, is on a track to worship our God in spirit and truth.  We are grateful for their weekly commitment to lifting the Lord up.  Our praise team, young adult choir and Mighty Men (Male's Chorus) continue to serve us with God-honoring music.  And... we thank them.

ZTCIA

The Zion Travelers Community Involvement Association is the non-for-profit arm of the church from which community-focused efforts are ran.  Our food pantry, which is USDA regulated and approved, is one of the ministries operating under the auspices of ZTCIA. Community outreach, social resources, clothing boutique and the Winter's  Inn also operate under this umbrella.  The Community Involvement Association is a 501 c(3) not-for-profit organization.
